The picturesque villages of Rocamadour, Domme, Sarlat, La Rogue Gageac and Beynac are a short drive. The area is full of lovely village restaurants, walks, churches and magnificent castles and gardens. The climate is generally considered to be the best in France with long hot summers and short winters.
A property search will show a railway line at the rear. For avoidance of doubt the track is located in a very deep cutting, so it is not visible or noisy from the property.
