RIUMAR is a SEASIDE village on the EBRO DELTA & has been kept a' secret' from the British by the Germans, the Dutch, the Belgians the French & not to forget the Spanish themselves !! It is a special place, non-commercial & unspoilt with lots of sunshine & natural beauty. Riumar is ideal for family holidays . In mid summer there are all kinds of water fun games on the beach & all year there is an adventure playground & a small zoo nearby. In the Riumar area there are 6 restaurants & cafes open all year & about 15 more from March onwards. Main supermarkets including a large new Lidl & Mercadona are in Deltebre and a very lively weekly outdoor market; & Spar has opened a large supermarket in Riumar itself. Recently all the roads in Riumar are in the process of being renewed & the wonderful elevated wooden walkway that stretches the whole length at the back of the sandy beach has been completely rebuilt by the state & is a real pleasure to walk along at any time.
