The house is situated on the eastern side of Paros 1.5 kms from the village of Marpissa, looking over farmland towards the island of Naxos with Ios to the south. To the west of house there is a range of mountains.
Built in 1996 the house follows the traditional Parian design with a two story tower at one end. It is 163 sq.meters in size.
It stands in a field of 4,000 square meters enclosed by stone walls. As well as five ancient olive tree, fruit and nut trees have been planted at various points around the field. There is a working well on the property.
The house itself has three bedrooms, all en-suite, a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a study/4th bedroom. Each bedroom has its own terrace. There is a large garage and a car port.
The house is surrounded by well established, terraced flower beds. These are cared for year round by an excellent gardener.
A pergola below a natural rock outcrop offers a sheltered seating area close to the house. There is a further sheltered seating area to west of the house.
This house is the ideal place to spend time. It is close to the sea where there are endless beaches for swimming. The mountains behind offer miles of paths for walking and if you are interested in flowers and wildlife this is a paradise. The local village of Marpissa offers all the essential shops.
There is a wide choice of excellent restaurants around the area.
WATER: The property is connected to the island mains supply. There is also a water storage tank (sterna) under the front terrace which holds 80 cubic meters of water. This water tank meets most of the needs of the house.
Legal status: All legal papers relating to the property are in order.
There is a small storage room for windsurfers under the kitchen terrace.
Running costs: Roughly E10,000 a year, inc taxes and spending money.
