From the house, there is a lovely footpath through fields and woods to the river Auverzere with its heritage old forge buildings and weir, overlooked by the Savignac Ledrier Chateau. The prehistoric sites,for instance, Lascaux II in the Dordogne Valley and many cave sites, are an easy drive away Rouffiac Lake is a popular resort in the summer, with beaches ,watersports, children's playpark, snack bar and restaurant, and a nice place to walk all the year round.

We had the septic tank installed 25 years ago, soon after we bought the property. Whilst it continues to work without any problems, we understand that it does not conform to current standards. It will need to be replaced by the new owner at a cost of about €5400 (we have obtained a quotation).
