The beautiful wisteria flowers only for a month, but is then green until November

There is a 25m path up from your car
Downstairs the original beams and ceiling have been preserved
Very large pithari in front of house
Also, sadly, a broken pithari inscribed AS 1888. In 4 large pieces.
The original old stone house, built on a south facing slope with lovely views, was extended in 1996.
Upper level has fully fitted kitchen and dining area opening on to veranda. Then large living room featuring attractive vaulted wood ceiling, insulated with fiberglass wool. Has a high level double bed over the bookcase for occasional visitors. Double bedroom, also with insulated wooden ceiling and a mezzanine level with large sewing/craft table, couch, a lot of storage cupboards and loft. Bathroom with bath, basin, toilet, bidet and washing machine. Small office with full length bunk beds.
Down a spiral staircase to what used to be the cattle shed, built into the side of the mountain. Now a double bedroom with wall to wall mirror fronted wardrobe. Hall with access to walk-in storage. Bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet and basin.
Outside is a large shaded area beneath the balcony leading to the workshop/store. Since it is more comfortable to work outside, the carpenter’s bench is there.

There is reversible air-conditioning and the solar panels provide lots of hot water
20 minutes drive up from the motorway, winding through a canyon with interesting geological features. The 700m altitude gives some relief from the heat of the coast
