This authentic and original Tuscan farmhouse (1871) is situated in a south facing panoramic position looking down into the beautiful Garfagnana valley and the Apuan Alps. Originally designed as a traditional farm and winery, the house has extensive grounds and was renovated into a residential art school/centre 40 years ago. The outside of the house includes two patio spaces, the main one to the side of the house and can seat 12 people comfortably, the second one is at the other end of the house and catches the early morning light and is ideal for meditation. There are a fixed wood store and a brick chicken/duck house (and pond) further down the vineyard. In front of the house, there is a two-story hay barn (with connected water) which could be converted to additional accommodation. There is also another small external outhouse containing an opening for a bread and pizza oven. An additional "cold" cantina with vaulted ceiling for the storage of wine and water runs under the house (20sqm).

The house is ideally located in a secluded valley and is part of the village of Tiglio (500m away) and the Canale valley community (nearest neighbours are 100 meters away). The house has hard road access and because of the nature of the location, this road allows access to several levels of the property.
