The house is located on the brow of a hill in the village of Castelvecchio, in the Marche region. It is situated 10km from the nearest beach along the Adriatic coast and half an hour from the Apennine mountains.
Originally built as a semi-detached house over 2 floors, it was converted into 2 separate flats in the 1970s (it can therefore be kept as it is or easily re-converted into a house). Each apartment measures 80 sq. m. (internal space) and consists of 2 bedrooms, living-room, kitchen, bathroom. All rooms are quite spacious. The upstairs floor has two balconies overlooking the valley and the hills on the other side of the Cesano river. There is a garden at the back (about 35 sq. m.) and a side entrance with a lockable gate. Additionally, there is a wide loft offering plenty of storage space as well as a basement accessible from an external staircase behind the house.
The house is perfectly liveable-in but in need of some modernisation. There is no central heating (which is not a problem except for the winter months), but each apartment has a boiler for hot water and cooking gas is supplied in canisters (if both heating and gas can easily be installed as part of a modernisation project). Parking is on the road, or a small car can fit inside the paved side-driveway.
