At the edge of the village of Grambois in Provence, L'Oratoire de St. Christol is our beautiful stone Mas (traditional old Provencal country house), built in the early 19th century and set on a wooded property of nearly 4 hectares of land. The property has a living space of about 210 m2 on two floors with 4 bedrooms and two living rooms with fireplaces. There is a swimming pool and a magnificent view of the Luberon mountain range. The interior of the house is notable for its spacious, light-filled rooms and exposed beams. On the ground floor is the expansive kitchen/dining room with a vaulted stone ceiling and walls at the entrance. The grounds include a natural spring and basin as well as a large terrace overlooking the Luberon. Located in the southern Luberon, the charming hilltop village of Grambois dates to the 10th century. The town of Aix-en-Provence is 25 minutes drive and Marseille is 50 minutes by car. The Luberon is a protected nature reserve of vineyards, olive trees, lavender, and sunflower fields. It gets year round sunshine and beautiful light.
