Parma is a beautiful medium-sized city in which the quality of life is excellent. It is located one hour from Milan, one hour from Bologna, two hours from Florence two hours from the Swiss border. Our residence is located on the first hills of Parma which is about fifteen minutes by car-
We sell our house because we reached the age of retirement and decided to move to another country, our children live around the world.
The house has about a century. It is entirely built in brick and stone. It is very solid and healthy. Spread over three floors: the ground floor, where the main entrance is, is home to the technical rooms (thermal power plant, air-conditioned wine canine, a sitting area, a bedroom and a bathroom with shower. On the first floor there is a large living area adjacent to the kitchen and under a large porch and a small lawn, on the second floor, the attic, is the sleeping area with two large bedrooms and a slightly smaller one that we have currently used as a study. On this floor there are two other bathrooms.
In front of the entrance of the house there is a masonry garage with three parking spaces.
The house was totally restored in the structure about 30 years ago, it has fixtures with modern insulation and in general is very well insulated.
The central heating system is wood-burning, (wood from our land), or oil-fired. Generally the management expense is very cheap. We also have a photovoltaic system integrated into the roof of the porch that provides us with about three kw of electric energy, therefore also very low consumption. Higher up, at about 40 meters from the house there is a small building which is about 30 years old and which we currently use as a warehouse.
Next to the cottage, in summer, we mount a small 'above-ground' pool. The land in which it is situated is approximately 60,000 square meters of which one half is arable and one is a natural park with a forest of oaks, chestnut trees and wild fruit trees. In our wood they have decided to live in peace and tranquility some roe deer, many squirrels and other small animals of the forest.
