There are lovely views to the rear as the house is at the foot of the mountains, and the village is adjacent to the Central Balkan National Park and is beneath the highest point on the mountain range, and is ideal for walkers and nature lovers. It takes 5 hrs to walk from the house to the highest point. The nearest river is 10 minutes walk from the rear of the village, good for fishing and swimming and is a local recreation spot.
The house has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens. The house has been sympathetically restored. The main house has 3 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. The cowshed and hayloft has been converted to provide a living area, kitchen, bathroom and two additional bedrooms. Everything in the house is newly created but everthing has been hand built to give a traditional Bulgarian feel. All the stoves are originals. All the furntiture is included in the price. All doors are handcrafted, all with a stain glass window from England.
The village has four small supermarkets, a bakery, four bars, two of which sell hot food. There is village hall and a 1,000 strong community in the village. There is a bus service 4 times a day from the village square to Kazanlak.
The village is 3 hours drive from both Sofia and Burgas airports and is an ideal base to explore the whole of Bulgaria. The nearest town is Kazanluk. The old towns Stara Zogora, Plovdiv and Valiko Tarnovo are near and great for exploring. There is a railway station in the village that has a regular service. which connects to the capital Sofia and the seaside at Varna.
