in the middle of a medieval village
An old townhouse in the main street of the historical centre of S.Elena Sannita, a mountain village at 800 metres above sea level. Originally there lived 2000 people but most of them moved to the big towns.
The region Molise is the most quiet and uncontaminated area in Italy, it is nominated as one of the best holiday places of 2020 worldwide by the New York times.
There is very little tourism at the moment, especially not in the mountain areas where people, that live in Naples and Rome, only come to visit in the summer.
The climate in the summer is really optimal because it is dry and much cooler than in the valleys.
The village itself is medieval with just a few new buildings just outside the centre, 2 grocery stores, 1 bar and a post office.
People enjoy mostly the nature, the mountain of Frosolone and the lack of the hustle and bustle of the cities.
In winter people go to Campitello Matese where you can ski and make beautiful walks in the snow or in the summer to enjoy the views and the uncontaminated nature.
The house stands in the middle of the historical centre and it has 3 floors of each 100 m2.
The ground floor is the enormous entrance and 2 big cellars, with toilets and sinks, with access to the garden. At he opposite side of the street is a garage where you can easily park your car.
The first floor has a very big dining area (35 m2 approx.), an old kitchen that needs to be rebuild , a bathroom with shower, 3 bedrooms and a living room.
The second floor has 2 apartments of 45 m2 each. They have a big living room, a kitchen and a bathroom.
On top of that is an attic just for storing things.
The view from the backside of the house is beautiful with a view on a always bigger growing forest and hills. The front side of the house looks on the street and a part of the church.
