The house is a 17th. century Venetian Villa, part of once what was a large mansion belonging to one of the three noble families that were resident in the village.
Agios Mattheos is a traditional farming village in south central Corfu, some 22km. from Corfu Town and unlike most of the villages and towns on the island that close up after the tourist season, Agios Mattheos is alive all year with permanent residents.
The village is 900m from lovely Paramonas Beach.
The house is situated at the “top” of the village, with fantastic views over the forested and rural valley with sea and mainland views.
The house is 3 storeys, rising up the hillside with the bedrooms on the bottom floors whilst the top floor is the living area and veranda, taking advantage of the spectacular views and cool breezes.
