At the heart of the city lies the Praça da República, where a colourful market takes place daily and the cafes serve the local confectionary of Cavacas das Caldas, a crunchy shell-shaped biscuit, or Biejinhos das Caldas (little kisses) their diminutive cousin. Over 100 years old, the Dom Carlos I Park was built to complement the therapeutic industry in the town and boasts an abundance of sculptures. This beautiful city is close to the coastline with some of the most beautiful beaches along the silver coast.

The quaint, medieval Óbidos Village, encircled by castle walls is 7 minutes away by train or 15 minutes by car. Lisbon is just an hour away.

Porto is around 2 hours away and Lisbon is around a 1 hours’ drive. The famous seaside town of Nazaré with the largest wave ever recorded is just 25 minutes away.

This really is a beautiful destination along the silver coast and not to be missed.
