Details
In Ferrara, in the very central Piazzetta Cortebella, in the Via Garibaldi area, part of the wonderful complex called the Convent of Santa Giustina and dating back to the 1500s, an elegant apartment is for sale, located on the 1st floor with lift. The property has undergone a careful renovation with anti-seismic and energy saving criteria in compliance with the thermal and acoustic standards. The meticulous, sober, elegant restoration followed by the Superintendency of Fine Arts was carried out with care not to distort the natural beauty of the building and the final result is particularly pleasing. The technological contents are of the first level and air conditioners and a heating system with geothermal energy and independent accounting for each unit are already installed in the building.
The property is fully furnished and consists of: entrance hall - large and bright living room - comfortable kitchen - laundry room - single bedroom, elegant bathroom with window, hallway sleeping area with closet / wardrobe, master bedroom with private bathroom with window.
The real estate unit is equipped with air conditioning in every room, underfloor heating (geothermal).
The complex can be accessed from two different independent entrances, one for pedestrians from Piazzetta Cortebella, the other for vehicles from Via Byron equipped with an automatic gate for access.
The entire complex as a former cloistered convent is reserved, silent, protected by high enclosure walls.
The common areas, internal green areas and the parking area are finished and maintained with great care: Access to the apartment is served by a modern lift in compliance with the regulations relating to the removal of architectural barriers and accessibility for all.
Well served area both in terms of shops and transport, just a few minutes’ walk from the Estense Castle.
The property belongs to the complex of the church of Santa Giustina, built in the 9th century, it was a parish with two hospitals attached. In 1583 it became the seminary of the Chierici Rossi and in 1721 "Conservatory for girls". In the 16th century it was redesigned with a hall plan by Giovan Battista Aleotti and enlarged with the construction of an inner chapel and the bell tower in 1769. The interior was subsequently modified by the architect Antonio Foschini with an octagonal plan and the exterior remained unchanged only the portal. In 1832 the nuns of San Guglielmo moved to the monastery of Santa Giustina and in 1916 the Augustinians.
