The grocery shop which is a few steps away is run by the charming and helpful Angeliki and her husband who sell local produce. The taverna is run by Fotini who cooks local dishes and it has a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. There is a local coffee bar only a short walk away. The residents take great pride in keeping the village clean and organised.
Corfu international airport is 10km from the village (15 minutes by car). Corfu town is 12km with its Venetian architecture and the interesting old town with boutiques, restaurants and ancient alleyways. The island has so much to offer with medieval hilltop villages, endless beaches on both sides of the island, stunning views of the surrounding small islands, walks, beach life, delicious local dishes, wines, friendly locals, festivals all year round.
The port near Corfu town has all year round ferries to the mainland (90 minutes to Igoumenitsa) and to all over Europe.
