The Village of Prastio is positioned 300m in elevation above the neighbouring village of Avdimou and only 10 minutes from Pissouri and its local beaches. Prastio was included in Cyprus' top-10 villages and is renowned for its production of halloumi cheese which is exported globally. Located just 5 minutes from the highway, it is equidistant from the holiday town of Paphos (the European capital of culture in 2017) and the very busy business hub of Limassol, which benefits from comprehensive shopping, a cafe culture and a spectacular new harbour.
Prastio is peaceful but not far from both these main towns and supported locally by both Avdimou and Pissouri. There are two international golf courses within 15 minutes drive (Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills Golf Resorts), and the Troodos mountains are within 30 minutes easy drive if you are a skier or enjoy hillside walking. Prastio is also positioned on Cyprus's principal wine route.
Prastio holds numerous activities in an active calendar, which includes the annual halloumi and multicultural festivals. The Prastio community is also extremely welcoming and activities are centred around its cultural centre and popular taverna.
