Monsegur Information

Monsegur is a lovely bastide town with superb views over the Dropt valley. The town square has a Victorian covered hall which houses the Friday morning market and several animations throughout the year.
The stone arches around the square are the perfect place to watch the world go by, sitting in one of 3 cafes and 2 restaurants. There are many individual shops, including the butcher, baker, antique/brocante, ladies clothing and florist. There are 2 banks and a post office. The cinema is open most days of the week and sometimes shows films in VO (version originale), or with English sub--titles.
Monsegur is well known for its connection with Jazz music and proudly hosts the '24 hours of Swing' festival in July. During summer months Monsegur presents their 'Marche Nocturne' every Wednesday evening - this is a great night out and gives opportunity to mingle with the locals and holiday makers alike. The recipe for these evenings have been copied by several other towns in the area.
The Passerelle which is a cultural/learning centre in Monsegur offers language lessons in English & French at different levels.
