Bellac Information
Bellac is a busy market town and sous-Prefecture of Limoges, situated on the banks of the River Vincou . A fast developing economic, cultural and tourist region served by Limoges International Airport only 30 minutes drive. With a population of approx 4,500 it offers excellent schooling with large college and lycee and several primary schools. The picturesque town centre is served by train station, small shops and restaurants as well as major banks, and medical services and large tourist office. Supermarkets and hospital are situated on the outskirts of the town. Birth place of poet and playwright Jean Giraudoux, Bellac hosts many cultural events and stages the annual summer National festival of Bellac dedicated to theatre and dance.
