In the Cantal department of the Auvergne and approached via remote controlled electric gates, we have 62 acres/25 hectares of valley and wooded hillside, about a kilometre of Category 1 river bank (La Bertrande), plus three lakes and a weir. Previously a trout farm, there is now a barn with haystore, two large looseboxes, tack/feed room and insulated workshop with woodburner (19 metres x 7 metres in total).
thjs is the perfect bolthole for relaxing and walking in this unspoilt beautiful area.The cottage is snug and maintenence free and next door to a friendly cafe/restaurant where there is a daily prix fixe menu at lunchtime and more elaborate table d'hote in the evenings.The proprietor has his own organic beef herd!The village is situated in the middle of glorious hills with swimming in the river and local lake.
