There is an infants and primary school located in the village with a canteen and after school club, The nearest college (high school to age X) is in Chagny (3km) and the lycées (to age x) are in Beaune (15km) and Chalon sur Saone (17km) both served by school bus or trains.

Chaudenay is easily accessible via the A6 autoroute at Beaune or chalon sur Saône. Dijon is 60km, Lyon 140km and Paris 300km. From April 2013, a new route from London Stansted from Dole (77km) begins.

The nearest town of Chagny (3km) is situated on the wi ne route with plenty of shops, supermarkets, DIY store, and a plentiful market every sunday morning all year. the Voie Verte cycle path passes through the town along the canal. The SNCF train station has regular links to Beaune and Chalon sur Saône for TGV trains.
