The village of Aigues Vives is situated in the heart of the Minevois AOC wine growing region. The area is steeped in the Cathar history and lies within a few kilometres of France's second most visited tourist attraction; the medieval cite of Carcassonne, which is a World Heritage site. It is also in close proximity to many areas of historic and natural beauty, including th'e Gouffe de Cabespine and the Grotte de Limosis.
