Trausse Information

The village of Trausse Minervois is a 35 minutes drive, East of Carcassonne. Carcassonne has a historic Cite site - infamous as the site of a siege in the days of the crusades against the Cathares.in the 12 century. The cite is open all the year round. The Canal du Midi flows through the bustling lower town with its narrow streets. It offers very good shopping, good markets, and street cafes.
Carcassonne airport is served by Ryanair to various UK destinations. Beziers airport is also served by Ryanair to Bristol and other destinations.
East of Trausse, the Meditteranean town of Narbonne is about 35 minutes away, with good shopping and lovely beaches as far as the eye can see.
South of the Village are the Pyrenees, with their spectacular views - try taking the "Yellow Train" for a spectaculat ride to the Summit!
