The city of Rethmynon is the 3rd largest city on the island.It is a well balanced blend of both the old Cretan way and the new modern.It has wonderful old cobbled streets in the old town and each street and corner leads to some really delightful cretan lifestyle'
The streets are all overlooked by Venetian Romeo & Juliet balconies some dating
back to the 17th Century. The Venetian fortress overlooks the town is is worth visiting, same as the old Harbour and the many fish restuarants that surround it.
Rethmynon has blue flag beaches running for approx. 25 kms in both directions and all are safe bathing beaches.
