Aquilêia Information
The house lies alongside the runis of the Roman river port of Aquileia, a World Heritage site of unique character. On the other side of the house, about 200 metres away is the Roman forum. Aquileia is of primary archaeological importance, as it was the second most important port in the Roman empire.
It lies just 7km from the beach at Grado, an hour away from Venice by train, and an hour from the skiiing areas on Austria's border, and Trieste International Airport is 15 minutes drive away.
The area is renowned for the high-quality wines it produces.
