Santa Maria Nuova is a bustling village of about 4,000 inhabitants, situated on a hill above Jesi. It had all the shops and services you need, including banks, a post office, doctors' surgery, a pharmacy, supermarkets etc.. The people of Santa Maria Nuova have always welcomed us, and our guests, with warmth and friendship. It is ideally located for trips around the region: you can see the sea from here in one direction, and the mountains of the Apennines in the other. This is also reflected in the local cuisine - hearty rustic dishes from the mountains, and fragrant fresh sea food from the coast. The region is also famous for its wine production, with the vineyards of Verdicchio and Rosso Conero and Morro d'Alba all around.
Casa Rosa is an old, lovingly restored farmhouse typical of Le Marche, with its own swimming pool, set in a large private garden overlooking rolling hills. In a secluded but not isolated location, the pretty pink brick house was restored in 2002, and has been a happy holiday house for our family since then.
