A small typical Italian village of about 1200 people.
12 K from Asti, famous for it's wines and it's Palio.
Piedmont Italy, in the Langhe Astigiane del Monferrato (Val Bormida) in the Montabone area, rustic stone for sale, built in 1890, renovated for 210sqm, over 110sqm of attached barn possibly to be restored and small rustic (40sqm) used as a woodshed and door tools. Roof and plaster completely redone in 2004, laminated wood beams and tiles. The walls of the stone house are 70 cm thick.
We have finished renovating an old house in the “centro storico” (historic centre) of Refrancore, a small village 12 kilometres from Asti and 1 kilometre from our home, Cascina Valgranocchio. The house is on the "strada di vino", the tourist road map for visiting the wine area's of Piedmonte. The house is very old, and has 4 floors, starting with the underground cantina which has lovely old domed brick ceilings, and brick walls.
