The Langhe is an area that understands the good things in life - it is home to the well-known Barolo and Barbaresco wines, hazelnut groves abound and of course, white truffles. It is an area of green and rolling beauty which is carpeted with vineyards and the landscape is peppered with medieval hill-top towns.
The small market town of Cortemilia (15 minute drive) has several Bars, and Restaurants plus two supermarkets as well as a post office, schools, banks and there is also an indoor covered swimming pool.
Dogliani (30 minute drive) is a market town which has many amenities including a garden centre, supermarket, banks, post office and many excellent Bars and Restaurants.
Further afield the city of Alba (45 minute drive) and the truffle centre of the area. It is a relaxed, friendly place with good shopping and has a whole range of amenities including a hospital.
Bra (50 minute drive) is home of the Slow Food Movement.
Acqui Terme (50 minute drive) is a lovely spa town with hot springs and has a full range of amenities and good shopping.
Savona (90 minute drive) is a lovely seaside town situated on the Mediterranean coast.
Cuneo (90 minute drive) is the Capital of the region and has a full range of amenities.
Almost every city, town and village have a weekly street market selling anything and everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, clothing and footwear to hand made objects.
