Aramo Pescia, Italy, Tuscany - Pistoia
Aramo is a little medieval village near Pescia. It is in the region called Svizzera Pesciatina (Pescia little Switzerland). There are 10 medieval villages to explore: Pietrabuona, Medicina, Fibbialla, Aramo, S.Quirico, Castelvecchio, Pontito, Stiappa, Sorana, Vellano.
Pescia is a medieval town which is built on two sides of the river which flows down from the mountains. In Piazza Mazzini, the main square of Pescia, hosts the Saturday market.
There are so many monuments to visit in Pescia:
Palazzo del Vicario (13th-14th centuries), now the Town Hall; Palazzo Palagio or del Podestà (12th-13th centuries); Cathedral, dating perhaps to the 5th-6th century but later rebuilt several times; Gothic church of St. Francis (13th century).
