Property in Malta
The Republic of Malta, which became a member of the EU in 2004, consists of the islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino, along with two small, uninhabited islands. More than a million tourists visit Malta each year, almost half of them British. Holiday houses and apartments, along with traditional farmhouses, are popular buys; there are also several high-profile purpose-built resort developments. Sought after locations include the capital, Valletta; Sliema; St Julian's Bay and St Paul's Bay, as well as any number of Maltese and Cozitan villages.
