A 15 minute drive brings you to the larger town of Lagos which has again a variety of shops and supermakets.
The local beaches are wonderfull, sandy and a favourite with surfers.
Local beaches include, Vale Figuira, Amoerara which has a fantastic beach restaurant and Monte Clerico, also great to look out to sea , enjoy the views and while away a few hours .
The larger beach of Carrapeteira is used for the european surf championships
