Odemira Information

Situated in the Natural Park of the S.W. Alentejo, Vila Nova de Milfontes is known as the princess of the Alentejo, and rightly so.
The river Mira opens out into the Atlantic ocean at this small fishing town, and the area boasts some of the most picturesque beaches in the whole of Portugal and is very popular with surfers and other water sport enthusiasts.
Benefitting from it's own microclimate, it enjoys pleasant temperatures year-round (unlike many locations just a short distance away which can suffer from very high Summer temperatures and even frost in the winter-time.)
