The nearest town to the village would be Moncao or Melgaco as they are equidistant to the property. The larger one being Moncao which was more popular with the locals. Moncao is a beautiful picturesque town on the banks of the river Minho. It has an abundance of shops and services including a medical centre with an A & E department, a dentist, a spa, outdoor and indoor swimming pool (competition pool and leisure pool), outdoor gym park, skate park, vetinary centre and too many cafes and restaurants to mention. There is also an outdoor market once a week held in the town centre.
