The apartment at Monte Gordo - 59 km (36 miles) east from Faro airport - is in the quietest and least developed part of the Algarve, though with a good road infrastructure including the tolled motorway linking the western and eastern Algarve and good bus services connecting town centres, Monte Gordo provides an excellent base from which to explore this fantastic region.
The beach at Monte Gordo - approximately a 15 minute walk from the apartment - is wide and sandy and backed by a promenade with dunes and pine trees further out of town. There are a number of bars, restaurants and a casino. Within 15 km (9 miles) of the apartment there are 4 golf courses and approximately another 20 along the Algarve coast.
