The accessibility is moderate. The last 400 meters are quite rocky and thus better suited for a 4×4 Jeep. Seia and Oliveira do Hospital are about 15 km away. Seia is a medium sized city and Oliveira do Hospital is a smaller town. In both places are all important facilities such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, medical clinic, schools, vocational education, library, small hospital and weekly market. Seia is also the last place you pass before driving into the Serra da Estrela mountains where you can ski in the winter.
