Almerimar Information

The beautiful resort of Almerimar is a modern, coastal resort and a suburb of El Ejido. It is located 40 km west of Almeria and 160 km east of Malaga. Almeria airport is a 30-40 minute drive away.

Almerimar boasts wide sandy beaches either side of a marina and yacht club and a popular golf course. The marina offers bars, restaurants, hotels, shopping arcades and nightlife. Sailing and windsurfing are possible all year round and the clear Mediterranean water makes an excellent venue for snorkelling and scuba-diving. Fishing is also popular – the local industry brings in large catches of tuna. For golfers there is Almerimar golf course nearby and La Envia a little further away.

The lively holiday resort of Roquetas De Mar is situated just along the coast and a 15 minute car ride away.

The Sierra-Nevada ski resort and mountains are a 2 hour drive away. Granada with its famous Alhambra Palace is also 2-3 hours away
