Algodonales lies 30 minutes by car, North West of the historic town of Ronda which boasts the oldest and very attractive bullring in Spain, made famous from the literature of Ernest Hemingway. Algodonales is a famous international paragliding resort. It has a population of approximately 5,000. Most amenities are centred around the main street and plaza where you will find a host of attractive bars/cafes and restaurants with eating outdoors under parasols for most of the year. Three banks, post office, Dia supermarket and many smaller specialist food shops, 2 butchers, 2 fishmongers, greengrocers and a flourishing market on Thursdays. A doctor's surgery, opticians, dentist and 2 junior schools (one private) a senior school plus nursery school. This area is famous for horseriding and mountain walking along the beautiful Gaditan Highlands where you will find wild orchids, rare moths and butterflies and the famous griffen vulture. Algodonales also boasts two natural fountains. This house is 100 meters from the restored historic Fuente Baja where you will find deliciously cool drinking water that tastes similar to Evian water and the town has never in history suffered from drought.
