MACISVENDA: is a lovely quaint Spanish village with bars, restaurant, supermarket, bakery, hardware shop, only a couple of minutes walk away.
It is in the popular region of the Hondon Valley which is glorious in the spring with fields of pink blossom on almond trees, in the summer grape vines, oranges and lemons.
There are local produce markets throughout the valley on different days of the week.
There are shopping malls only 35 minute away in Murcia, Elche and further afield in the town of Alicante, the nearest beach is only 35 miles away.
For a Special day out Benidorm, Terra Mitica is only an 1.5 hours aways
Fiestas, in all the villages of the Hondon region, commence late July to end of August. These are especially fun since the whole community takes part in the festivities, and the dancing lasts in the small hours of the morning.
