There are many places you can travel to from Moraira, other towns being Calpe, Benidorm, Javea, Gata and not forgetting Guadalest with inumerable shops and spectacular Spanish castle perched on top of a mountain, looking down on on beautiful views and reservoir.
There is an excellent commercial centre on the mountain, containing a very good supermarket, restaurant, cafe and bar. Moraira is a very smart upmarket coastal town with a very pretty harbour and is about 5 minutes away by car. It has excellent parking facilities and has numerous shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a lovely marina where you will find boats or jet ski's for hire. El Portet lies just to the east of Moraira from where it can be reached on foot. The beach itself is quite narrow but it is sheltered and gently shelving, clean, sandy and safe. This is a popular destination as it enjoys day long sun and is absolutely ideal for families with children.
Denia, Javea and Calpe are 20 mins away and have numerous shops, restaurant, bars and beaches.
Tennis courts are available nearby. Boats and jet skis are for hire in Moraira.
To the south near to Benidorm there is Mundomar Marine Park, Terra Mitica Theme Park, Terra Natura and Aquyalandia Water Park. To the North near Denia you'll find El Vergei Safari Park. This is a wonderful area with plenty to do.
There are several golf courses nearby. Javea golf course is 10 mins away. This 9 hole course is open all year round. The 18 hole La Sella club is a short drive near Jesus Pobre. Here there s an open bar, driving range, restaurant and pool.
The testing Olivia Golf course, designed by Seve Ballesteros boasts 18 holes, par 72 and is alittle over 7000m. There are additional open courses in Javea and Denia.
You can fly into either Alicante 80km away or Valencia 100km to get home.
