Semi-rural living on a small urbanisation, formally adopted and maintained by the local authority, in a beautiful orange valley but just 2 mins from the village of La Barraca d'Aguas Vivas which can provide everything necessary for day-to-day living - town hall, health centre, schools (infant/secondary) chemist, supermarket, greengrocer, bakers, vets, hairdressers, post office, bars and restaurants where Spain's famous 3 course 'Menu del Dia' can he had for the ridiculously low cost of just 8.00€ .
Alzira, just 10 minutes away by car, is a lively, working town with a friendly and welcoming population with excellent road, rail and air links to just about everywhere in Spain and Northern Europe. On the outskirts of the town there are two huge shopping complexes with hypermarkets, DIY outlets, and many eating venues catering for both Spanish and International tastes. Alzira is a town renowned for its love of fiestas and is second only to Valencia in the number of Ninots (papier mache statues) it erects and burns.
La Barraca as it is commonly known is within easy reach of most tourist attractions and the vast, pristine beaches of Gandia and Cullera are a particular attraction - both just about 20 minutes drive from the property. There are many attractive places of interest within easy reach by both car and train from Alzira, a town which in itself has a wealth of history being an old Arab walled city. Weekly markets are held in most of the surrounding towns and villages and, of course, Valencia city itself (a pleasant 30 minute train journey) has something for everyone - history, architecture, shops, gastronomic delights and, of course, Valencia FC and some wonderful beaches.
